Welcome to Windsor Greek School
Founded in 1991, Windsor Greek School is dedicated to teaching the Greek language and introducing children to the rich heritage of Greek culture and history. Located at St Peter's Hall in the village of Winkfield, Berkshire, our school welcomes around 30 students each year, with some families traveling from neighbouring counties such as Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
Classes are held every Friday during term time from 17:30 to 20:30. The school is independently funded and managed by a dedicated group of parents, elected annually. The parent committee meets at least once per term and oversees all aspects of school operations throughout the year.
We are proud to have the support of the Greek and Cypriot Embassies, who provide us with qualified teachers and valuable educational resources.
Καλώς ήρθατε στο Ελληνικό Σχολείο Windsor
Ιδρυμένο το 1991, το Ελληνικό Σχολείο Windsor είναι αφιερωμένο στη διδασκαλία της ελληνικής γλώσσας και στην εισαγωγή των παιδιών στον πλούσιο πολιτισμό και την ιστορία της Ελλάδας. Βρίσκεται στην αίθουσα του Αγίου Πέτρου, στο χωριό Winkfield του Berkshire, και κάθε χρόνο υποδέχεται περίπου 30 μαθητές, με ορισμένες οικογένειες να ταξιδεύουν από γειτονικές περιοχές όπως το Berkshire και το Buckinghamshire.
Τα μαθήματα πραγματοποιούνται κάθε Παρασκευή, κατά τη διάρκεια του σχολικού όρου, από τις 17:30 έως τις 20:30. Το σχολείο χρηματοδοτείται και διοικείται ανεξάρτητα από μια αφοσιωμένη ομάδα γονέων, οι οποίοι εκλέγονται ετησίως. Η επιτροπή γονέων συνεδριάζει τουλάχιστον μία φορά ανά όρο και εποπτεύει όλες τις πτυχές της λειτουργίας του σχολείου καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια του έτους.
